Next
Generation Economy Inc. has created a new way to connect
employers and job seekers through a unique skills matching
website, decreasing the resume scanning time for employers.
The system collects data input by employers and job
seekers to generate valuable information about the
state of the workforce and the skill supply and demand.
Teknea Design has worked with NextGen
over the past two years to design and develop the system,
working
intimately with the NextGen's group of community volunteers
and the NextGen staff. Teknea Design brought together
an outstanding core team of developers and thinkers
for
the development
phase
of the project including Dan Hinojosa of evolutionNext,
Alexander Outkin, and Stephen Johnson.
The system utilizes Java-based technologies
and object-oriented design to create a usable and feature-packed
web application.
Teknea Design is proud to have been
a part of this great step forward in New Mexico's attempt
to understand and improve our state's workforce.
